Ooyama Nisai Kohaku SOLD

UPDATE 01/02/10 - This Kohaku is coming along very nicely indeed, the beni lustre is lush thanks to the Benibana lineage and has refined considerably since the autumn with the marazome begining to form. New imaged added taken on our current Jan/Feb trip and the size now approximately 55cm

This Nisai Kohaku is offspring of a Sakai female Kohaku from Benibana lineage (Ooyama's kohaku female parent is 88 cm) and a male from Dainichi which brings awesome volume to the koi. This match and their lineage produce a fantastic beni colour that has real depth. The skin takes on very much marazome kiwa and tight sashi.

The fish was purchased at tosai and grown on at Ooyama koi farm and has been harvested at 50cm.
